St. Raphael the Archangel is mentioned by name in the book of Tobit where he reveals he was sent by God to heal a man and deliver his soon to be wife from a demon. It is believed his name means "God heals" and St. Raphael is also believed to be the angel who stirs the healing pool's water in the Gospel of John. He is the patron saint of healing, illness, doctors, nurses, the blind, lovers, and happy meetings.
