St. Barbara, an early Greek martyr, spent most of her time locked in a tower at the command of her father to protect her innocence. In secret, St. Barbara became a Christian and turned from the idol worship of her father. After being released from her tower and making her conversion known, her father was enraged and eventually caught her. St. Barbara was tortured to renounce her faith but stood true and was ultimately martyred. She is the patron saint of architects, artillerymen, mathematicians, and the Italian Navy.

As with many of our products, these items are handmade in small batches. This means that though we try to make products uniform, there may be slight differences from what you see in the product images (i.e. slight changes in knot formation, length, etc) due to the nature of handmade items.
